What Is an IPTV Playlist Checker?

An IPTV playlist checker is a tool that verifies the health and validity of your IPTV subscription in real time. When you receive M3U credentials from an IPTV provider, you can\'t always tell if they\'re active, how many days remain, or whether the server is online. The checker queries the Xtream Codes API endpoint directly from your browser and displays the full subscription metadata in a readable format.

Unlike basic M3U playlist validators that only check whether the file can be downloaded, this checker retrieves live account data — including expiry timestamps, active connection counts and server configuration — giving you a complete picture of your subscription health.

What Information Does the Checker Show?

  • Account Status — Active, Expired or Banned indicator with a live badge.
  • Username & Password — Your credentials, with password masked for security and a Copy button for each.
  • Days Remaining — How many days until your subscription expires.
  • Active Connections — How many devices are currently streaming (e.g., 0/1).
  • Account Type — Trial, Standard, Premium or Reseller.
  • Creation & Expiry Dates — When the account was created and when it expires.
  • Supported Formats — Which streaming formats your provider supports (M3U8, TS, RTMPs).
  • Server Details — Host URL, HTTP/HTTPS/RTMP ports, timezone, server time and process status.

How Does the IPTV Status Check Work?

The checker extracts the server host, username and password from your M3U URL, then sends a secure request through a server-side relay to the Xtream Codes Player API endpoint (/player_api.php?username=…&password=…). This relay is necessary because most IPTV servers block direct browser requests (CORS restriction). The relay only forwards your request and returns the response — no credentials are stored or logged at any point.

Why Is My IPTV Account Showing as Expired?

If your account shows as Expired even though you believe you have an active subscription, check the following:

  • Verify the server URL and port are correct — even a missing port number can cause the check to fail.
  • Confirm your username and password are case-sensitive and exactly as provided.
  • Your subscription may have genuinely expired — contact your IPTV provider to renew.
  • The server may be temporarily offline — try again in a few minutes.
FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an IPTV playlist checker?+

An IPTV playlist checker is a tool that verifies whether an M3U or Xtream Codes URL is active. It checks your account status, expiry date, active connections, and server information without needing any app installation.

Is my IPTV URL stored on your servers?+

No. This tool runs 100% in your browser. Your M3U URL and credentials are never sent to our servers — the check is performed directly from your browser to the IPTV server\'s API endpoint.

What URL formats are supported?+

The checker accepts any Xtream Codes-based URL that includes username and password parameters. This includes standard M3U playlist links (get.php?username=…&password=…), M3U Plus and HLS formats. It does not support pure M3U files without Xtream Codes credentials.

Why does the check show Expired if my subscription is active?+

This can happen if the server URL or port is incorrect, or if the username/password are wrong. Credentials are case-sensitive. It can also mean your subscription has genuinely expired — contact your IPTV provider to renew.

Can I use this tool to check any IPTV provider?+

Yes, as long as your provider uses the Xtream Codes middleware platform — which the vast majority of IPTV services do. If your provider uses a different system (e.g., a custom portal), the checker may not return results.

The check fails with a network error — what do I do?+

A network error usually means the server is offline, the port is blocked, or the server requires HTTPS but you\'re using HTTP. Try replacing http:// with https:// in your URL. If the server is genuinely down, wait a few minutes and try again.
